Mmmm still dreaming about the date I went on recently. It was perfect; it was dream-like…

First my parents and brother drove down in intense traffic to UCSD and came bursting into my room with loads of food, both homemade and ramen, as well as a bag full of new clothing. Mommy, I’m grateful for how thoughtful you were when you went out to choose new clothes for me and cook for me. Chingchonglinglongtingtong.

Then we went to downtown La Jolla and took a walk around the beach. There were the cutest little baby squirrels that were running around near the shoreline and they apparently had burrows. All this time, I thought all squirrels were tree babies. We stopped and stared at sun-bathing seals for a while. They were so squishy and tubular and I really could not differentiate between the ones laying on their bellies and the ones on their backs. 

Then after walking around random tourist shops for a while, we went to go eat at Sushi On the Rocks 2. We got a bunch of random sushi and Daddy ordered my favorite- unagi. No one would touch the unagi, each complaining, “I never really liked unagi.” Liars… :P 

After dinner we strolled around again, checking into the random shops and looking at stuff. My dad and brother didn’t even mind when my mom and I spent 20 mins in a clothing shop and came out empty handed. We went in this random little souvenir shop and my brother and I stared at this huge lego figurine of Darth Vader. It felt really nostalgic. I guess the lighting and the feeling reminded me of tropical vacations we used to take when I was in highschool.

We stopped at a chocolate store and I bought this huge spherical truffle. It was yummy (for the first few bites). We walked in and out of galleries and surveyed random artworks. My dad always asks for my opinion and I love it how he automatically accepts my verdit: “It sucks.” as the ultimate truth. 

Finally we drove back and with a few hugs they left. That night reminds me of the pleasure of a happy, united family. This is an entity of my life that I will treasure. 

This is for you… I saw you walking down library walk… Like your style, like your hair. 

You’re hot and beautiful and I like the way you move. Keep doing your thing <3
